The "Enrollment & Demographics Filters" section contains many ways to filter students at your school. Each filter can be used individually or in conjunction with other filters in the same section, or in other sections on the Groups page.



  • Students – choose a specific student (or specific students) that will always remain in your group. This is the only filter on the Groups page that is not dynamic. Pro tip: use this filter for groups whose membership doesn't change on a daily or weekly basis (such as study groups, sports teams, etc.).
  • Student Group – filters for members of the selected student group(s)
  • Grade Level – filter by which grade a student is in
  • Gender – filter by male or female
  • Ethnicity – filter by ethnicity, as logged in your SIS
  • ZIP Code – filter by student ZIP code
  • Age – filter by age, based on student birthdate
  • Entry Date – filter based on when a student entered your school
  • Exit Date – filter based on when a student left your school
  • Exit Code – filter based on the code/reason a student left your school
  • [Custom Fields] – filter by custom fields, such as lunch status, ELL status, IEP status, or other custom fields. Contact your School Happiness Coordinator for more information.
  • Active – by default "Yes" is selected to show only actively enrolled students. Pro tip: use "No" or "All" if you want to include students who have already exited your school.
